Abstract: In the seventies, Fröhlich, Simon and Spencer proved that that the spin O(n) models have an ordered phase in dimensions three and above. This is in sharp contrast with what happens in two dimensions where spin models that are invariant under continuous symmetries never have an ordered phase. I will present a version of their proof, which is more or less self contained.
