Abstract: The close relations of Brownian motion with harmonic and holomorphic functions are widely understood, for example in interpreting the Dirichlet problem and in the conformal invariance property of Brownian motion. I will discuss some arguments using Brownian motion which are less widely known -- to Beurling's projection theorem and the Riemann mapping theorem.
