Abstract: In an article from this summer, Jim Propp has considered tilings of regions consisting of hexagons. He formulated twenty mostly open problems (his formulation) on the enumeration of such tilings.
Two of these conjectures were recently solved by Defant, Li, Propp and Young. Their solution contains several interesting ideas, including the application of the classical k-quotient bijection for partitions and a new "compress" bijection. Clearly, there still remain many open problems ...
