Abstract: Motivated by some questions regarding coarsening, we introduce a Gaussian class of random initial conditions for mean curvature flow. These are derived via a scaling limit of the Allen-Cahn equation. The proofs build on Wild expansions and level set methods for mean curvature flow. The talk is based on a joint work with Martin Hairer and Khoa Le.
