Abstract: One way of showing the folkloric result that open 2d TFTs are equivalent to Frobenius algebras is via ribbon graphs. This method has been extended to so-called ``M\"obius graphs," yielding a further classification of unoriented 2d TFTs. The underlying combinatorial structure of both of these examples can be subsumed within the structure of crossed simplicial groups, first introduced by Krasauskas. We use a correspondence between certain crossed simplicial groups and planar Lie groups to obtain a more general classification result for TFTs in 2 dimensions.
