Abstract: We will consider the article of the same name by Ira Gessel and Yan Zhuang. For this, we will discuss some basics for symmetric and quasisymmetric functions, as well as plethysms. The goal is then to give formulas for various generating functions regarding sufficiently nice subsets of the symmetric group.
