Abstract:
The perturbation theory of generalized inverses of bounded linear operators differs markedly from the perturbation theory for invertible operators. In this talk we highlight the differences and present a satisfactory approach to stable perturbations. We discuss operator-theoretic properties of outer inverses and their applications for regularization and approximation of linear and nonlinear ill-posed problems.
