On the Brownian Web

Abstract: We describe, on an introductory level, the construction and basic properties of the Brownian web (BW), which is a collection of coalescing Brownian motions starting from each point of 1+1-dimensional space-time. Depending on time, we discuss variants of the BW forward/backward/double/marked) and their relations to the voter model, 1D Ising model, and Brownian castle.
