In the 90s Hennings defined Witten-Reshetikhin-Turaev (WRT) type 3-manifold invariants for all (not necessarily semisimple) ribbon Hopf algebras. The role of the Kirby color is played by the so-called right integral. The WRT invariant can be recovered by shifting the right integral with a special central element. Later Hennings' construction was extended to a weak TQFT by Lyubashenko and Kerler.
In the talk we will review Hennings' approach and show how to improve his invariant to get powerful non-semisimple TQFTs.
