Fourier decoupling

23.06.2020 09:50 - 10:35

Pavel Zorin-Kranich (Universität Bonn)

Fourier decoupling inequalities are more flexible versions of Fourier restriction inequalities that were initially introduced in connection with the local smoothing problem for the wave equation, but also found number theoretic applications. I will explain the connection of decoupling inequalities with Strichartz estimates, and then move on to number theoretic results obtained using decoupling techniques.
