Counting bundles, affine Springer fibers and Macdonald polynomials

I will explain the result connecting counting vector bundles over a curve over a finite field to Macdonald polynomials. The idea behind the talk is to try to bring together automorphic representation theory (local/global), geometry (moduli space of bundles), and algebraic combinatorics (Macdonald polynomials).
