Threat management:
The safety of all staff and students is an important concern for the University of Vienna. Violence, threats or stalking are not tolerated at the University of Vienna. No one should have to be afraid of becoming the target of violence.
If you notice the following behaviour, please immediately contact the Threat Management team of the University of Vienna:
- Any type of physical violence
- Any type of threats of violence, written or verbally, as well as by telephone or in electronic form
- Stalking
- Carrying or showing weapons
- Expressing violent fantasies
- Expressing intents to commit suicide
- Extremely conspicuous and dangerous behaviour of a person (even if you only have a feeling in your gut)

In the event of accidents, emergencies or dangerous situations, the security service team is available around the clock.
First aid:
In the event of an accident involving personal injury, please contact the first aiders immediately or call the emergency number if necessary.

Fire warden
Designated evacuation rooms or waiting areas with access to the fire department elevator are available for people with restricted mobility.
- These evacuation rooms and waiting areas are marked accordingly.
- The evacuation rooms are equipped with intercoms that are directly connected to the porter's lodge.
- People with limited mobility (e.g. wheelchair users) are picked up and evacuated via the fire department elevators: in the base building (SB) BT-D / elevator 6 & in the high-rise building (HT) BT-A / elevator 4
