Waste disposal management
Lithium-batteries:
Lithium batteries must be treated as hazardous waste!
Lithium batteries have an energy density up to 10 times higher than conventional batteries. Lithium is a highly reactive metal. If lithium comes into contact with air or water, violent reactions can occur.
Due to this source of danger, the resulting waste streams require special treatment.
You will find a special collection box for lithium batteries in room 10.120. Please contact an SVP if you wish to dispose of a lithium battery.
