Mini-course (30.11.2023-25.01.2024, 6 lectures)- 2nd lecture:
We review FS (finite support iterations) of forcing notions, basic facts, and how they are typically used to modify cardinal characteristics of the continuum. These tools allow to force “one inequality” of the intended models, but a more complex theory is required to force the “converse inequalities”. The latter will be the main topic of the next session.
