Jörg did his PhD in Physics at the Max Planck Institute of Colloids and Interfaces in Potsdam. After a postdoc at Northeastern University and at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute in Boston he joined the CeMM as Principal Investigator in 2015. He received a Vienna Research Groups for Young Investigators career integration grant by the Vienna Science and Technology Fund (WWTF). Jörg is a specialist in network theory, which he applies to big-data problems from molecular biology and medicine. Recent areas of interest are network-based approaches to rare diseases, understanding the basic principles of interactions between cellular perturbations and Virtual Reality based data visualisations. We welcome him wholeheartedly to the Faculty of Mathematics.
Welcome, Jörg Menche!
