Abstract: This talk will focus on the problem of constructing chaos measures for rough log-correlated fields, in the special case where the associated parameter is “critical”. For this value of the parameter the construction is more delicate than in the better understood sub-critical regime, and different techniques are required. I will discuss three different approaches to constructing these critical measures, and also mention some special tools that have been developed (together with Juhan Aru and Avelio Sepulveda) for the case when the underlying field is a planar Gaussian free field. Finally, I will give an overview of the questions we still need to answer in this critical setting, and discuss some work in progress in these directions.
