Abstract: From a physical viewpoint, the theory of wave turbulence describes turbulent behavior in nonlinear systems supporting wave propagation (from water waves to plasmas). From a mathematical viewpoint, it leads to fascinating questions which bring together different fields (in particular dispersive and kinetic PDEs). Perhaps most importantly, it gives an entry point into turbulent phenomena, which remain very poorly understood.
