Quantum field theories with exponential interaction

13.11.2025 16:00 - 18:00

Michael Hofstetter (Uni Wien)

Abstract: In this talk I will give an introduction to quantum field theories in dimension d=2 from a probabilisitic point of view. I will further discuss two techniques, which have been successfully used to construct and study these objects, a stochastic control formulation and a renormalisation group approach.

In the second part of the talk, I will explain how these methods apply to field theories with exponential interaction, such as the Liouville model and the sinh-Gordon model.
