The board meeting of the FWF last week produced encouraging results. The following projects were approved:

- Hertha Firnberg programme "Model order reduction for time-harmonic wave problems" (Francesca Bonizzoni)
- Lise Meitner programme "Depth and discriminability in deep learning architectures" (Rafael Reisenhofer, with Philip Grohs)
- Lise Meitner programme "Algorithms for solving variational inequalities" (Vuong Phan, with Radu Bot)
- Lise Meitner programme "Analysis and geometry on CR manifolds" (Ngoc Son Duong, with Bernhard Lamel)
- Elise Richter PEEK programme "High contrast materials in plasticity and magnetoelasticity" (Elisa Davoli)
