The students Pierrick Bramberger, David Buchmaier Bofill, Dominik Pultar, Pavlo Shekhet and Ilona Tylevna at the Faculty of Mathematics of the University of Vienna have won a gold medal in the team competition of the International Student Team Competition in Mathematics in Katowice, Poland.
In the individual competition, the team received a gold medal (Dominik Pultar), three silver medals (Pierrick Bramberger, David Buchmaier Bofill, Ilona Tylevna) and a bronze medal (Pavlo Shekhet).
The training for the competition took place as part of the course Kunst des Problemlösens (The Art of Problem Solving), led by Dr. Theresia Eisenkölbl and Ao. Univ.-Prof. Leonhard Summerer.
