The European Academy of Sciences and Arts was founded in 1990 as an independent European association to promote scientific and social progress. The approximately 2000 members are leading scientists, artists and politicians who are committed to innovative research, interdisciplinary and transnational cooperation and the exchange and dissemination of knowledge. The members of the academy are elected for their outstanding achievements in science, art and politics.
