November 22, 2021: Events enter a lockdown period - the research seminars and the Logic Colloquium will switch to (purely) online format until further notice.

Seminars at the KGRC

Since 1999, the KGRC has been running a Research Seminar as the main venue for the presentation of current research in Mathematical Logic (since 2011 occasionally complemented by the Friday seminar). Since its beginning in 1999, about 500 talks have been given, about half of them by visitors from outside Austria, including numerous leaders in the field. Starting in October 2021, we are offering a bi-weekly

  • Logic Colloquium, on Thursdays, 3:00pm—3:50pm, at Oskar-Morgenstern-Platz 1, 2nd floor, room HS 13

which will feature talks addressed to an audience of logicians (and other interested mathematicians) from varying backgrounds, as well as weekly research seminars in

  • Set Theory, on Tuesdays 3:00pm-4:30pm, at Oskar-Morgenstern-Platz 1, 1st floor, room HS 8, and
  • Model Theory talks on Wednesdays 3:00pm-4:30pm, at Kolingasse  14-16, 1st floor, room SR 10.
