3rd Vienna Mathematics Competition at the Faculty of Mathematics at the University of Vienna

Mathematics students from several countries have participated in an individual competition and a team competition for the third time

The third edition of the Vienna Mathematics Competition took place at the Faculty of Mathematics at the University of Vienna, organized and directed by Theresia Eisenkölbl with financial support from Janestreet. Undergraduate students from Austria, Germany, Lithuania, Poland, Slovakia, and Ukraine had the opportunity to demonstrate their skills in both an individual and a team competition.

First place in the individual competition, with a perfect score, went to Dominik Pultar from the University of Vienna. First place in the team competition went to the Austrian Avalanche team from the University of Vienna (David Buchmaier Bofill, Gabriel Pflügl, Dominik Pultar, and Jan Strehn). Second place went to the team x²-13x+42=0 from the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv University, and third place went to the team MCMC TUM from the Technical University of Munich.
